Space Mermaid So we shall learn to breathe under the water So we shall learn to breathe under the snow The sky the sky did you hear How the cat proposed This Earth is just an experiment Where gods take no place Bloody philosopher I go back home but you’re not there I go back and what I find Oooooooooooh a miracle And I’m not a fool I learn how to breathe I can teach you The impossible things I close my eyes and walk into The green nettle sea It works so fast like a time machine Takes me back to childhood When tears are hard as hard as stone Marble behind my temples Ooooooooooooooh a marble face And I’m not a fool I learn how to breathe I can teach you The impossible things So we shall learn to breathe under the water So we shall learn to breathe under the snow Fly oh fly oh yes we can Make it with just one wing Everyone has got Their own technique But you are floating like a space mermaid Caressing the broken sky But you are floating like a space mermaid Caressing the broken sky Oooooooooh oh the broken sky Oooooooooooh oh the broken sky And I’m not a fool I learn how to breathe I can teach you The impossible things So we shall learn to breathe under the water So we shall learn to breathe under the snow To breathe under the snow To breathe under the snow To breathe under the Earth

Coming Home 04:22
Coming Home Dad I'm coming home Dad I'm coming home Will you wait for me? Will you wait for me? And the trees are falling down And the house is running off to the fields Dad you're falling Who's there to hold you? Dad you're falling Who's there to hold you? When the trees are falling down And the house is running off to the fields Like an apple tree Like a cherry tree Dancing there in your garden Oooooooh Last night I had a dream I saw a dying wolf And I kissed its lips And it turned into the Bread BREAD And when the old wolf bleeds What you do do with it? And when the old wolf bleeds What do you do do with it? All of the snow's not enough To cover cover it all The trees are falling down And the house is running off to the fields COMING HOME COMING HOME
COMING HOME COMING HOME Dad I'm falling Who's there to hold me? Dad I'm falling Who's there to hold me? When the trees are falling down And the house is running off to the fields

Wind Sculptures It takes time to memorize A face that we love But I know yours so well I could paint it blindly in the night sky Make a sculpture of it And instead of stone I'd use my own Heart I stand on the ocean I try to walk What's real and what's not Can't tell any more Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me What we used to know Is a snake of a question now And it enters me My King Precarious dangerous Menacing way Perilous treacherous Hazardous game What we know what we know Is a snake of a question now What we know what we know Is a snake of a question now I stand on the ocean I try to walk What's real and what's not Can't tell any more I speak to the wind As if it's you I sing to the sea As if it's you I fall to the fields Fall to the fields Fall to the fields As if it's you You Oh before the trouble comes Oh before the trouble comes You gotta call me Before the trouble comes Call me before the trouble comes Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me Call me Sleepwalking falling To the bottom of the sea Stealing dreams of strangers Who are no more strangers to me And if there's an angel It must have wings Of the letters That you wrote to me Mother

In the Shadow I stand in the shadow Of your perfect mind I dream by the window Of your shut heart I break my wings Against your strong will

Desires 02:35
Desires Desires- Too many desires Like pit bulls Bitting on my heels And the cuckoo cuckoo Is counting my mistakes Ooooo Ooooo I run- There’s river to my right I run- There’s river to my left I jump And see if I can swim Go down And see if I can live And the cuckoo cuckoo Is counting my mistakes Ooooo Oooooo Calm down Calm down We live Only when we breathe Breathe in Breathe out And the cuckoo cuckoo Is counting our years Oooo Ooooo

Million Years A mllion million years ago When I was still a bird And your hair was jet black And snow was hip deep Now you’re the only one I can hold Now I learn to be free I recognise the imprints on my heart Like steps of dinosaurs Which are so hard to prove So hard to prove my dear When no one saw it Love that visited us A million years ago Can I touch Can I touch Can I touch Touch you dear And all the things that were A million million years ago When I was still a bird Now you’re the only king Left in this world Now I learn to let go Time refuses to obey Time refuses to be your slave Can I touch Can I touch Can I touch Touch you dear And all the things that were A million years ago A million years ago Oh if I touch I will die Oh if I don’t I will die anyway… So can I touch Can I touch Can I touch Touch you dear And all the things that were A million years ago A million years Ago

Arctic 02:35
Arctic You left the house And you left the sea It slowly flooded me Where did you go? Where did you make your home? Where did you go my dear? My tears has turned into the snow Ad covered those lonesome hills The trees in the window saw you go But they didn’t speak to me Aaaaaa Aaaaaa I heard you became a goddess now Of the Arctic sea And when people make you so angry You close the gate for fish Aaaaaaa Aaaaaaa I dragged my heart like a wounded beast Upon the frozen sea And left it there not caring for spring Which I hope you didn’t see Believe me I dragged my heart Believe me like a wounded beast Believe me upon the frozen sea Which I hope you didn’t see Aaaaaa Aaaaaa

Don’t Fall Don’t Break Sister pine tree how I miss you Summer’s here but there was no spring When you’re sad- no one finds you When you’re sad- your heart’s a bird How I long for you How I long for you Don’t fall don’t break Don’t fall don’t break Don’t Here you are- whispers the wind On the sea shore amber tears Plate my braids brother echo Plate my braids of tears and salt How I long for you How I long for you I forgive I forget How I long for you How I long for you Don’t fall don’t break Don’t fall don’t break

about

Johanna Glaza is out to prove that folk music can still challenge and surprise us. Scattered throughout are twists in the song structure, striking hallucinatory lyrics, and unexpected radiophonic sounds. Wind Sculptures finds an enormously talented writer leaning in to her craft to describe life’s most difficult experiences. It’s a headphone album that nuzzles in close to the listener, one that embraces silence and simplicity as instruments unto themselves. The result is authentic, convincing, believable and wholly surprising.

"Possesses an undercurrent of fearsome wonderment....Immediately impressive." - The 405
